Common Conditions

FEET AND POSTURE - Flat feet (pronation- 'rolling in'), high arches (supination- cavus, 'rolling out'), tired feet, foot cramps, rolling ankles

MUSCLE STIFFNESS/ TIGHTNESS - Difficulty getting out of sofa, bed or car. Difficulty squatting or gardening. Hard to reach feet. Equinus (tight calves), Achilles tendonitis
SHIN PAIN - Shin splints, tight muscles, marathon training, treadmill running.
NERVE CONDITIONS - Burning, numbness, tingling, shooting sensations in your toes, balls of feet, legs, thighs and back. Often blamed on 'sciatica'.
BONY DEFORMITIES - Bunions, clawing and curly toes. Often secondary to biomechanical instability- your toes try to 'grip' the ground!
TENDONITIS - Peroneal Tendonitis, Achilles tendonitis

Dermatology (Skin & Nail) Conditions

MEDICAL PEDICURE- 'SCALE AND CLEAN' - We are gaining popularity with men and women for our medical pedicure. This involves complete and thorough removal of dead/hard skin, hyperkeratosis, corns, dry skin. Nails are trimmed and buffed to remove discolouration and smooth the surface. Most importantly, all instruments used are sterile using an autoclave (Australian Medical health standard).
HARD SKIN/ CALLOUS (HYPERKERATOSIS) - Heel cracks/ fissures can cause pain and infection. Worse in high arched feet and Perth summers and post- European holidays. Dangerous in Diabetes, immunosuppressant conditions and elderly. Also removed painlessly for cosmetic reasons in our sterile, medical pedicure.
CORNS - Patch of hard skin with a focal area of pressure. Usually under bony areas and between toes. Feels like a 'stone' or 'pebble' is stuck in the foot. Removed painlessly within 1 treatment.
WARTS (VERRUCAE) - Viral infection in the skin. Can be painful and is contagious. We can cure the most stubborn warts without the risk of scar tissue developing.
FUNGAL INFECTIONS (TINEA PEDIS) - Caused by 'dermatophytes' affecting the skin or nails. Skin can be red, itchy, flaky or blistered. Nails are discoloured, thickened, yellowed and crumbling.
ULCERS/ WOUNDS - An ulcer is a wound that is very slow to heal. Common in Diabetes, Vascular disease, those on immunosuppressant drugs (corticosteroids, medications for arthritic conditions, chemotherapy, elderly, high-pressure areas). With our experience and expertise from working within major hospitals, our goal is 'wound closure' and healing.
INGROWN TOENAILS - Nail edge growing into the skin causes severe pain, infection, odour, pus and swelling. We offer permanent, specialist solutions to fix your ingrown nails.
LUMPS, BUMPS, LESIONS -The concern with unknown lumps that appear? We have the expertise and knowledge to rule out suspicious and potentially dangerous concerns. We have the ability to investigate via X rays, Ultrasound, MRIs without further referrals.

Elderly / Geriatric care

As our feet grow older, they naturally develop more problems. But painful and uncomfortable feet are not something you should have to put up with.

We love to and are experienced in working with the elderly as we are located next door to Regis Como House, which is an aged care facility. However, our quality of work means that being in Banksia Grove is still worth it to come in and see us.

GENERAL CARE - Your feet may feel as though they are growing further away from you! We look after your nails, skin and balance. Trust your feet to our hands and we will ensure your feet are beautiful and carry you for miles and miles!
FALLS PREVENTION - Falls cause hip and wrist fractures, dislocations, head injury and bruises. Falls may be prevented by stable feet and legs.
VASCULAR ASSESSMENT - This is important to maintain maximum healing and life of your feet.
As we age, our feet tend to spread and we lose the fatty pads that cushion the bottom of our heels and
the balls of our feet. If we are carrying extra weight, our bone and ligament structure may also be affected.
